A PLUG&BRAND CONTROL COMPANION TOOL
Designed specifically for the Plug&Brand system, this helper tool turns the Solid Color layers you have already tuned by eye into control-ready logic. Choose the reference color, measure the exact Hue, Saturation, and Lightness differences, then copy the complete relationship directly into Plug&Brand Control.
BUILT FOR ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 24.0 OR NEWER.

01 / SOLID COLOR CAPTURE
Bring the approved palette in at once.
Select two or more Solid Color fill layers in Photoshop and capture them in their current order. There is no fixed layer limit, so the complete color system can stay together.
02 / REFERENCE-BASED OFFSETS
Measure every color from the same starting point.
Choose any captured layer as the reference. The Extractor instantly recalculates how every other color differs from it without asking you to select the layers again.
03 / EXACT HSL VALUES
See the relationship from every useful angle.
Read Hue as signed degrees and as a normalized −100 to +100 value. Saturation and Lightness are shown as percentage-point offsets, with every displayed and copied value kept to two decimal places.
04 / PLUG&BRAND-READY EXPORT
Move the logic without rebuilding it.
Send the extracted values to Low, Medium, High, or All, then copy a complete Plug&Brand Control schema containing the real Photoshop layer IDs and names.
01
Approve the colors visually.
Set the reference and dependent Solid Color layers until the palette looks right in the actual design.
02
Capture the relationship.
Select the finished color layers, click Capture selection, then choose the layer that should act as the reference.
03
Copy into Plug&Brand Control.
Choose Low, Medium, High, or All and copy the generated schema. Paste it into Control to rebuild the same relationships around the selected reference color.

HSL HISTORY · PART OF THE PLUG&BRAND SYSTEM
HSL HISTORY
Keep every approved setup within reach.
Choose a cache folder once from the panel menu. Each successful full-schema copy creates a timestamped .hsl history file named after the PSD, preserving the reference, captured layers, exact offsets, destination, and clipboard schema.
PART OF THE PLUG&BRAND SYSTEM
A focused helper for building Plug&Brand controls.
The Extractor handles the measurement step inside the wider workflow: you approve the colors visually, the Extractor translates their relationships into dependable HSL logic, and Control makes that logic available to the operator.

Does the Extractor change my Photoshop layers?
No. It reads the colors of the captured Solid Color fill layers and calculates their relationships. It does not recolor, rename, move, or restructure them.
Which Photoshop layers are supported?
The Extractor is designed for Solid Color fill layers. Select at least two: one reference and one or more targets.
Is there a maximum number of layers?
There is no fixed maximum. Larger captured sets remain available through the panel’s vertical scroll.
Do I need Plug&Brand Control to use the values?
The Extractor can copy individual HSL values or a target’s diagnostic JSON for inspection and manual use. Its primary purpose, however, is to work as a helper tool for the Plug&Brand Control plugin, with complete schema export structured for direct import into Control.
Is the Extractor a replacement for Plug&Brand Control?
No. The Extractor measures and packages visually approved color relationships; Plug&Brand Control applies those relationships as part of the finished Photoshop control system. They serve different stages of the same Plug&Brand workflow.
What is saved in an .hsl history file?
It stores the document and action details, the reference, all captured colors in order, their exact color data and calculated offsets, the selected export destination, and the full Plug&Brand clipboard payload.
