Plug&Brand Timelapse is a Chrome extension that records a timelapse of your screen. This policy explains what it handles and where that data goes.
What the extension handles
When you start a recording, Chrome asks you which screen, window or tab to share. The extension captures images of what you share, which can include web pages and anything else on screen, and turns them into a video. This happens only on your computer.
Where it is kept
Recordings, captured frames and settings are stored in your browser on your computer, and in the folder you save videos to. The extension keeps your settings, the recordings you choose to keep in its library, and a recording in progress, so it can be recovered if Chrome closes unexpectedly. Settings > Storage > Delete all data, or removing the extension, deletes them. Videos already saved to your Downloads folder are yours and are never touched.
What is sent over the network
Your recordings, frames and settings are never uploaded or shared. The extension has no accounts, analytics or trackers. The popup shows a small sponsor banner: its list and its images and videos are downloaded from Plug&Brand’s file host, and no information about you, your screen or your recordings is sent.
Links to other websites
Clicking the sponsor banner, or the “Buy me a coffee” button, opens that website in a new tab, where its own privacy policy applies.
